Backup/Restore (SWUpdate)

Under this menu item, you can back up or restore the settings of the system and the application or the entire system.

With the function "Export Settings to Drive or Download by Browser" the application and/or system settings are copied to an external data carrier (e.g. USB stick) or downloaded to a connected browser client. A script is also created and saved on the data carrier. This script is executed automatically when the data carrier is connected to another device and the settings are imported into that device.

With the "Create a Backup Image from this Device" function, the entire system is stored on a USB stick or SD card. To complete this procedure, the device will be restarted.
The created backup disk can be used for the recovery of other devices.

Start the Backup Wizard.




The "Update/Restore Image on this Device" function restores the entire system. In addition a USB stick or SD card is used. In order to complete this process, the device will be restarted.

Start the Update Wizard with a local swu (Image) File (USB Stick/sdCard).

  • Choose a swu (Image) File

  • Use "Start Restore Image (Factory Settings)" to install the Image with the Factory Settings predefined in the Image.

  • Use "Start Restore Image with current Settings" to install the Image and keep the Current Settings on your Device.


Check for Update

Checks if a new image is available on the server.
For this function an internet connection is required.


Update

Start the Update Wizard with the server swu (Image) File.

  • Use "Start Restore Image (Factory Settings)" to install the Image with the Factory Settings predefined in the Image.

  • Use "Start Restore Image with current Settings" to install the Image and keep the Current Settings on your Device.




With the "Execute Script on mounted Devices" function, all init scripts on mounted devices are listet can can be executed manualy.
